"These boys were a great help, one windy afternoon, when we arrived at the Bella Coola docks, greeting us with a friendly smile and hands ready to catch a line. They lived with their families at the dock, one on a sail boat, the other on a trawler. One day we noticed them fishing, with deep concentration. It was their quiet focus and sense of companionship I wanted to convey, as they sat in the sun intent on their work.”
